Alessandra Magistrato


Dr. A. Magistrato got her PhD at ETZ Zuerich, Swizerland and she was postdoc at University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, USA. Then she moved to Trieste, Italy for a position as research staff of National Institute for Physics of Matter. Since 2021 she is research director of CNR-IOM at SISSA where she leads the computational biology lab.Dr. Magistrato research activity is devoted to investigate the structure, function, and dynamics of complex biological systems, including pharmacologically relevant enzymes, of protein/RNA machineries, and of metal ions transporters, and to the development of small-molecule inhibitor to modulate their function.
